MARKETINGQL / PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

How we handle information when you visit our website, contact us, or use our marketing services and authorized integrations.

Effective date: October 13, 2026 · Last updated: October 13, 2026

1. Who we are and what this covers

MarketingQL is the marketing consultancy operated by Nick Andrews. This policy covers marketingql.com, communications with MarketingQL, and MarketingQL-operated applications, including the planned MarketingQL Audience Builder.

When we manage advertising or handle information on a client’s behalf, we follow the client’s instructions and our service agreement. The client’s own privacy notice governs its collection and use of customer information. This policy does not replace the privacy policies of LinkedIn or other third-party services.

2. Information we handle

  • Information you provide: your name, business contact details, company, messages, project requirements, and other information you choose to share when discussing or receiving our services.
  • Website and technical information: our hosting and third-party services may process IP addresses, browser and device information, pages requested, referral information, timestamps, and approximate location. Hosting infrastructure uses country-level location information to administer geographic access restrictions.
  • Authorized client information: account and campaign identifiers, advertising settings, creative materials, budgets, targeting criteria, performance reports, and information a client authorizes us to process for an engagement.
  • Integration information: when an integration is available and you authorize it, the account identifiers, permissions, authorization tokens, and platform data needed for the functions you request.

Please do not send passwords, sensitive personal information, or customer lists through general inquiries.

3. How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, provide and administer agreed services, prepare and manage authorized campaigns, report on performance, maintain our website and integrations, diagnose errors, prevent misuse, and meet legal or contractual obligations.

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on the basis appropriate to the activity: performing a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing our business, consent where required, or compliance with legal obligations.

4. LinkedIn integrations and Audience Builder

MarketingQL Audience Builder is being developed to help authorized users find LinkedIn targeting categories and prepare or update advertising audiences. The integration is subject to LinkedIn approval and user authorization; this policy does not imply that API access has already been granted.

When enabled, the app will access only the permissions and accounts authorized for its functions. Relevant information may include ad account and campaign identifiers, existing audience settings, and standardized targeting categories and identifiers, such as job titles, skills, seniority, industries, locations, and company size. Targeting categories describe audiences; they are not a list of identified LinkedIn members.

We use LinkedIn data only to provide the authorized functionality and in accordance with applicable LinkedIn terms. We do not sell LinkedIn data, use it to build unrelated member profiles, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. The planned audience-management functionality does not require access to private messages, personal connections, or lead-form submissions.

Authorization is handled through LinkedIn’s supported authorization mechanisms. Do not give MarketingQL your LinkedIn password. You can revoke an app’s access through your LinkedIn settings and contact us to request deletion of information retained by MarketingQL. Revoking access does not automatically delete campaign settings or other records held in LinkedIn itself. LinkedIn’s handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy.

5. Sharing and service providers

We disclose information as needed to service providers that support hosting, communications, business operations, analytics, or the delivery of agreed marketing services; to advertising platforms when carrying out authorized work; and to the client or account owner entitled to receive it. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, or prevent fraud.

Our providers and connected platforms may process information in the United States and other countries. Where legally required, appropriate safeguards must apply to international transfers. Third-party platforms also process information under their own terms and privacy notices.

6. Cookies and third-party services

The website uses Google Tag Manager to load and manage tags. Depending on the tags configured and applicable choices, analytics or advertising technologies may process page visits, interactions, device information, and cookie or similar identifiers. Google Fonts also receives technical information when your browser requests font files. Hosting services process technical requests to deliver and protect the site.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser and use available privacy settings provided by Google, LinkedIn, and other platforms. Blocking cookies or third-party resources may affect some functionality. Browser cookie controls do not necessarily prevent all technical data, such as an IP address, from being transmitted when you visit a website. For information about Google’s practices, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

Links to LinkedIn and other external sites take you to services with their own privacy practices.

7. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, the relevant client engagement, legitimate business records, and applicable legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and platform requirements. When information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or de-identified, subject to legal retention and backup limitations. LinkedIn-derived information is also subject to LinkedIn’s applicable retention and deletion requirements.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Contact us if you believe information associated with MarketingQL has been compromised.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

Contact nick@marketingql.com to ask about information we hold, request access, correction, or deletion, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, or complain to a data-protection authority.

We may need to verify your identity or authority before fulfilling a request. Some information may be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. If your request concerns information we process for a client, we may direct you to that client or assist it in responding. You can ask us to stop sending marketing communications at any time.

9. Children and changes to this policy

Our website, services, and applications are intended for business users, not children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required. The LinkedIn integration’s disclosures will be reviewed before it becomes operational.
